Last Fruits

A dear friend of mine has a bird feeder in the middle of her back yard. She is always so giving. I asked her what I could paint for her, she asked for a painting of one of the birds that frequent her yard. It was a great chance to try something new!

 An interesting thing I discovered while doing a little research on my "model". A pretty reliable harbinger of the onset of Spring is when you hear the male Cardinal start to sing in earnest. It is a reminder that change is coming. The cold hard Winter will one day be behind us and Mr. Cardinal is looking for someone to share the experience with!
