When I was 19, my Mother passed away. She was brought home to the mountains of Kentucky to be laid to rest. There is a landmark in the cemetery that imprinted upon me while we were there at the service, a large concrete open bible near the top of the scenic hill. I was not a spiritual person and had never been.
It's interesting how tragedy makes you start asking questions you never thought to ask before. The life I led as a young man looks nothing like the life I lead today. When I look back to this mountain hillside, with the open bible dominating everything below it, I have to say, this is where it all changed
